Change
Next Postman and Weingartner deal with the issue of change. They correctly suggest that until recently, "it was possible to be born, grow up, and spend a life in the United States without moving more than 50 miles from home, without ever confronting serious questions about one's basic values, beliefs, and patterns of behavior." (p. 11) Change has happened so quickly, that people are forced to face new and difficult decisions throughout their lives, and they must deal with the inevitable change. This is why we must educate students with a firm foundation of beliefs, so they may think about these issues and make decisions that will allow men to live together peacefully.
