Bureaucracies

Postman and Weingartner hit the mark when dealing with bureaucracies. "They will probably not go away, but they do need to be controlled if the prerogatives of a democratic society are to remain visible and usable." (p. 13) A slow body that acts on according to their own will is dangerous. Government has gotten so big that very little has been left to the individuals, although it is now more possible than ever for men to communicate quickly.
